We are Zieler & Co., a traditional trading house since 1907 specializing in the import and export of dried fruits and nuts in Hamburg.

We are looking for a

Purchasing Assistant (m/f/d)

full-time

Requirements:

• Commercial apprenticeship
• Professional experience in purchasing, preferably in the food trade
• Negotiable English skills in word and writing
• Proficient in basic IT applications (MS / merchandise management)
• Team-oriented with a high level of initiative
• Reliability and entrepreneurial thinking

Tasks:

• Handling of goods imports
• Monitoring of loading dates
• Documentation/data maintenance
• Communication with export companies
• Handling of incoming imported goods
• Sourcing/product inquiries from suppliers
• Inventory maintenance/replenishment of products in coordination with department management
• Participation in the establishment of an IT-based inventory control
• Communication with food authorities/customs authorities
