Ambulance services have about 150 employees who are primarily responsible for ambulance readiness in Kronoberg County with ambulance stations in eight locations. The ambulance in Växjö is responsible for ambulance readiness in Eastern Kronoberg and the ambulance in Ljungby is responsible for ambulance readiness in Western Kronoberg. The work that takes place at the stations in the eastern part of the county includes Växjö, Alvesta, Lenhovda, Hovmantorp, and Tingsryd. The western part of the county includes Ljungby, Älmhult, and Markaryd. We highly value our work environment and have a clear goal; to provide advanced ambulance care of high quality. Our mission is for about 200,000 residents of Kronoberg, but in cases of acute life-threatening conditions, there are no geographical limits. We also perform ambulance missions to hospitals for specialist care in other regions. Additionally, we have two low-care ambulances staffed with specialist nurses that are primarily responsible for scheduled transports during daytime, Monday to Saturday.

As an ambulance nurse, you will take care of people of all ages who have experienced acute illnesses or injuries. The ambulance nurse examines, refers, and treats the patient before and during transport to hospitals or other healthcare facilities. We work as a team and there is always at least one specialist nurse in each vehicle.
Qualifications:We are looking for a licensed nurse with a specialization in ambulance care.

To be considered for employment, you must:
- Meet the medical requirements necessary for obtaining a C1 driver's license. For more information, read about medical requirements on the Transport Agency's website.
- Pass the ambulance's physical fitness tests with satisfactory results.
- Pass a driving test with our internal driving instructors with satisfactory results.
