Your workplaceThe Kil Health Center has almost 12,000 registered patients and about 35 employees. We are a well-functioning health center with experienced and committed staff. We are a fantastic group that really enjoy working together and care about each other!
The health center is located about two miles north of Karlstad, in a picturesque setting with good communication links - both bus and train options available. You will work in a team with doctors (district, ST, and AT doctors), nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, podiatrists, counselors, rehab coordinators, and maintenance staff. The health center also offers physiotherapy, maternity care, a children's healthcare unit, and a laboratory.
Your responsibilitiesAs a district nurse, you will handle standard tasks in primary care such as independent patient care and telephone advice. In case of emergency care, our approach involves a multidisciplinary emergency team. We also provide specialist nursing care for conditions like diabetes, heart failure, asthma/COPD, and dementia. At the Kil Health Center, we use the Cosmic medical records system.
We supervise students from various educational levels.

Your skills and competenciesWe are looking for a registered nurse with postgraduate education as a district nurse, preferably with 15 credits in diabetes or asthma/COPD, but this is not mandatory.
As a person, you are sociable and outgoing with good interpersonal skills, providing great care to patients, relatives, and colleagues. Working in a team and collaborating are qualities that we value highly. We prefer candidates with good self-awareness and independence. You should be flexible and resilient, able to adapt to changing circumstances and manage stressful situations.
