At Kivra, we are building services that connect over 6 million people by providing a safe and accessible digital infrastructure that everyone in Sweden can trust and use. At the same time, we are saving trees - reducing the paper that is printed and transported - by providing a better digital alternative to physical paper communication.
What you’ll be doing
We are seeking a Domain Architect that will work both strategically as well as hands-on with our User Domain.
As our new Domain Architect, you will take a holistic approach to shaping and driving a reliable architecture and design across our user domain. We’re looking for someone who not only has the technical expertise to move both functional and technical development forward hands-on but also the ability to conceptualize necessary changes and effectively drive them through the domain and the wider organization. This means leveraging strong soft skills—communicating, influencing, and collaborating across teams to ensure alignment and impact. Additionally, we believe you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves and writing code – you see technology as an enabler in your role!
Security, reliability, and scalability are three areas we value highly and that serve as a foundation for our services; and central to the work you’ll do.
Our services deal with large amounts of users, data and transactions daily, and our objective is to do so with 100% availability. We believe in doing things smart, simple and open source - and this is reflected in our tech stack. Our platform and core is built on Erlang and Riak. We also run Elixir services, use PostgreSQL, serve GraphQL with Typescript, deploy to Google Cloud or on-prem in K8S, and use Grafana tools to observe our systems.
You will be establishing crossfunctional and cross-domain relationships and working closely with our developers, product managers as well as infrastructure team.

In addition to your personal attributes, you have:
Deep experience in backend development and a history of technical leadership, driving architectural changes.
Experience evolving backend platforms in large-scale environments
Experience working in cloud-based environments, preferably GCP and Kubernetes
Expertise in Erlang or Elixir is a plus, but not mandatory
