Midwife/Nurse Wanted for Summer Substitute Position 2025 at BB in Halmstad

To the summer of 2025, we are seeking midwives/nurses for summer substitutes.

Tasks

As a midwife/nurse at BB Halmstad, you are responsible for the post-natal care of mother and child. A key part of the work in the BB department is to provide support in breastfeeding to women, as well as to support the new family and give them a secure start. We offer high quality and the best availability according to the patients/families needs. Most families stay with us for 1-2 days.

You work closely with the midwives at the BB reception, which is open during daytime, every day of the week. The midwives at the BB reception have specialized knowledge in breastfeeding and support families who wish to return home earlier than two days from BB.

The substitute position extends from 250601-250831.

About the Workplace

We have about 2000 deliveries/year in Halmstad. At BB, there are 12 care beds and 3 shared care beds in the neonatal department. Midwives and nursing assistants work in teams. During the day and evening, the BB department is staffed with two teams and at night with one team. We also have a close collaboration with the neonatal department. Rounds with obstetricians and pediatricians take place daily.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified midwife or certified nurse and want to work at BB Halmstad. If you are a certified nurse, you need to have at least two years of experience as a nurse, and it is preferable to have worked at BB or with children. No experience is required if you are a certified midwife.

You are expected to have a positive and professional approach to patients, relatives, and colleagues. Valuing the collegial cooperation is essential for us, as we work closely in our teams at BB Halmstad.
