Ametisten is a modern nursing home in Solna for people with dementia and somatic illness. We offer individually tailored care with heart, integrity, and freedom of choice. About the role You are the central figure concerning the residents' health care efforts and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring medical prescriptions are followed. Regularly, you conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in the operation.
Collaboration and support You are part of a team with care personnel, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. An important role for you is to coach and educate the care personnel so that together you provide each resident with the best possible life. In this, you work closely with the residence's group leaders who are responsible for the care staff. Our group leaders also coach and work together with the teams in the daily work.
We invest in leadership development for you as a nurse. A course we can offer you to attend is "Leading without being a boss."
Getting to know the residents Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and illness conditions are often crucial for accurate assessments and decisions.
Clear routines To create security and clarity for you as a nurse, there is extensive support in the form of practical and easy-to-use routines, control documents, and checklists. Our quality management system is called Qualimax and is industry-leading.
As a new nurse with us, you will participate in our digital introduction program together with your mentor to ensure that you receive a clear introduction with the goal of quickly getting into the work and our routines.

Dementia certification We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that all of us working here are trained in dementia and interaction through the Dementia Academy.
Youth Care We have a collaboration with the company Youth Care. This means that a team of young people aged 14-18 visit us on weekends and holidays. Youth Care does various activities with us who work here to add a touch of gold to life for the residents.
Animals in care Here we work with animals in healthcare, and we have regular visits from therapy animals.
Your experience and knowledge You are a licensed nurse, and we prefer that you have worked a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-ill, requiring you to have comprehensive knowledge of different diseases and conditions as well as an interest in the aging person. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
