Surgical Nurse
Exciting work day/evening/weekend where no day is like the other.
Here you will meet and care for patients in need of acute and postoperative care with a focus on upper and lower gastrointestinal, breast, vascular, urology, and oncological surgical patients, but other specialties may also be relevant. For new nurses we have SPIK (specialist nurse in clinical service) responsible for helping and supporting new nurses. We have good opportunities to provide you with a good introduction tailored to both the clinic and the hospital as a whole. For those more experienced, there are opportunities for paid specialist training or research in surgical nursing.

Teamwork is important to us and we expect you to be good at collaborating and flexible. Our workplace:The surgical clinic conducts a broad operation divided into upper and lower abdominal surgery, vascular, breast, endocrine, urological surgery, and surgical emergency care. Over 200 people work in the clinic. The surgical clinics in Kalmar and Oskarshamn have a shared facility, advanced surgery is performed in Kalmar, and Oskarshamn operates in a way that normally does not require intensive care. We are now seeking nurses for our departments in Kalmar
Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital provides emergency care, specialized care, maternity care, and newborn care. Over 2300 people work here to offer good care and high patient safety to the county's residents. Our staff's constant development work enables us to achieve good results in several national surveys. The hospital is close to Kalmar city center and Kalmar Sound.
