Traffic Planner
Job Description
As a traffic planner, you are responsible for planning and designing timetables for trains and work vehicles in our railway facility. You receive applications and based on these, you analyze and ensure that there is the possibility to run trains or carry out work on the railway. You also engage in dialogue both internally and externally on matters related to planning of applications and available capacity to find the best solutions and minimize disruptions in the railway network. This is in order to create good conditions for having a market-specific train schedule and production plan that maintains high quality in terms of punctuality and safety.
The work as a traffic planner is a social job where you have many contact points and different types of collaboration spaces both within and outside of the Traffic Administration. It is a varied job and requires the ability to drive and be responsible for delivering based on set goals. You need to be able to see complex relationships that contain large amounts of information and convey it further adapted to the target group you are working with. You actively use your strategic ability every day when allocating capacity in the railway facility for train paths, track usage, and services according to the Railway Network Description (JNB).

QualificationsWho are you?
- Good communication skills that involve the ability to convey messages in a simple way and with sensitivity to the recipient. You should also be able to see logic and relationships in complex information or environments and be good at planning your work. In addition, you are motivated by an active employee role where you responsively take responsibility for your tasks while being attentive to how you are a part of and contribute to the overall goal through collaboration with others.
We are looking for someone who:
- - has a university or college education of at least 180 ECTS credits in spatial planning or logistics, or equivalent education combined with relevant experience that the Traffic Administration considers equivalent
- - has good computer skills and relevant experience working with various data systems
- - has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
It is a merit if you:
- - have current and relevant experience of working with planning or logistics in the transport sector, or other experience that the Traffic Administration considers equivalent
- - have current and relevant experience with digital application and planning tools
