Ambulance care in Värmland is county-wide, with ambulances located in twelve locations. We are a reasonably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the big picture and influence.

Leading up to the summer of 2025, we are looking for new employees for the ambulance station in Årjäng. Summer substitute positions may lead to permanent roles.

Job Description

Ambulance care involves challenging aspects of acute care for the sick and injured in various environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that patients receive proper care at the right level. Our goal is to always have a secure patient who knows the next step in the care chain.

Shifts are both day and night.

Healthcare is based on the needs of our patients and the skills of our employees. We aim to advance healthcare alongside our employees. We work towards a good work environment with stimulating tasks and individually tailored training. All new employees undergo a 7-week introduction and position training.

Qualifications

We are looking for ambulance nurses or registered nurses with at least 1 year of clinical experience. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good teamwork skills. A B driver's license is required, with at least 3 years of driving experience. A C1/C driver's license is beneficial.

Prior to any employment, you must undergo work tests and pass an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland advocates for a drug-free work environment and requires a mandatory drug test for new hires.

A full day of interviews and work tests will take place in Karlstad on Wednesday, December 11. If you are a candidate for the position, you will be invited to the day via a separate email. For this day, it is desirable that you bring proof that you can swim 200 meters.
