Operations DepartmentWithin the An/Op/ICU Visby operational area, acute and planned surgical care, anesthesia, postoperative care, and intensive care are conducted in close collaboration with other operations at Visby Hospital. The operations have a wide clinical scope and involve patients of all ages. Annually, around 3500 operations are performed in general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, obstetrics, and ENT.
The operations department mans five operating rooms in the central operation and two operating rooms at the day surgery certain days of the week. Anesthesia participates in external assignments in radiology, mouth and jaw, eyes, ICU, and responds to emergencies like trauma alerts. The operations are carried out around the clock, every day of the year.
Your responsibilitiesAs an anesthesia nurse, you are offered a varied work and play a crucial role in the team around the patient and in patient care. Seeing and meeting the often anxious patient before surgery requires instilling calm and security in a high-tech environment.
You collaborate closely with colleagues in operation, pre- and post-op, as well as anesthesiologists and surgeons.

Who are you?You, who apply, are a licensed nurse with a specialization in anesthesia care.
We are looking for someone who is curious and interested in working with all specialties in our operation, both elective and acute. You enjoy working in a team but also have the ability to take initiatives and work independently. In addition, you are positive, responsible, flexible, and value patient safety, patients, and your colleagues. You also have good communication skills, a pleasant demeanor, are easy to collaborate with other staff categories within An/Op/ICU as well as external parties.
