The role as a nurse

Orthopedic Clinic is seeking summer substitutes for ward A and the outpatient department. Ward A treats patients with acute orthopedic injuries and illnesses that require treatment, and this ward remains open during the summer.
The clinic also has ward B where patients undergoing planned surgeries are treated, but this ward is closed during the summer.
If you work on ward A, you will manage medications, documentation, and medical equipment. You will be responsible for nursing care, pre- and postoperative care, patient mobilization, and care and monitoring of patients with epidural catheters, blocks, and patient-controlled analgesia.
Your work hours will include days, evenings, and weekends.At the orthopedic outpatient department, patients with musculoskeletal pain are assessed. Follow-up care is also provided for patients treated for fractures.
Working hours at the orthopedic outpatient department are during daytime on weekdays.

Your future workplace

Ortopedic Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital is the largest orthopedic clinic in Jönköping County. We provide treatment, care, and rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions. The clinic is divided into general orthopedics and spinal surgery (neuroorthopedic center). We work for quality, competence, and respect in all encounters.
Around 150 people work at the orthopedic clinic. Here, you will work in an exciting environment that is constantly evolving. You will be part of a team with nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and physicians, where we value each other's knowledge and have a good sense of community.

Your profile

We are looking for licensed nurses or those graduating by June 2025.
