Real Rail Sweden AB offers a unique railway solution for transporting goods over long distances. With our own departures every day from Monday to Friday, we efficiently connect southern and northern Sweden. An important part is the network of intermodal freight trains that currently run between Luleå in the north and Helsingborg in the south. In December 2022, we took the step to become our own train operator, and with more than 50 colleagues stationed across the country, we now operate part of our traffic independently.
To continue developing our operations and offer a fun, attractive workplace, we are now looking for another Chief Train Driver to strengthen their leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Personnel management - Leading, coaching, and developing train drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations. Includes recruitment, training, skills development, and ongoing employee follow-up
- Safety and work environment - Ensuring that operations follow the company's safety procedures and work environment regulations, driving systematic work environment work, and working for a safe working environment with regular safety rounds and safety committees.
- Resource planning and optimization - Planning and optimizing personnel and equipment resources to create efficient and safe operations with the right number of train drivers available to meet operational needs.
- Budget and results responsibility - Managing budget responsibilities for personnel and ensuring that the department achieves set goals within available resources.
- Business development - Contributing to the development and implementation of new work methods, processes, and routines to strengthen operations and actively work to achieve our long-term business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL SKILLSWe are looking for someone who is flexible, innovative, and is passionate about delivering high-quality railway transport. You are structured, solution-oriented, and have a strong focus on safety. You are a team-oriented leader with the ability to create participation and engagement. Your work approach is characterized by a strategic holistic view where you value good cooperation with all relevant stakeholders.
- High school education for 3 years. Higher education in logistics, economics, or similar is a merit.
- Experience as a train driver, preferably in the freight sector, or in a similar role within the railway industry, with good knowledge of safety regulations and legislation.
- Previous experience in personnel management in the railway sector and experience in work environment and labor law are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English. You can motivate and engage employees and engage in dialogue with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in computer skills, primarily in the Office package, and experience in data compilation and analysis.
