Our business model allows providers to grow sales with referrals from happy customers, ambassadors to earn commissions while driving sales, and EpiHelp AB to thrive as community host.
We are seeking a senior SW developer in the role of Co-Founder Chief Technology Officer (CTO) leading our technology roadmap and overseeing the ent-to-end development of our platform. The basense platform consists of an in house developed mobile application, a database-connected website, and an integrated affiliate system software. The role is equity-based until funding is secured, offering the candidate with strong buy-in, endurance, and entrepreneurial spirit a unique high-risk | high-reward opportunity. We're at the point of entering the revenue phase within the next 2 or 3 months.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Own and shape the technology research, planning, and execution efforts for the basense platform, working closely with the management team.
- Team Management: Plan, manage, and lead a research and development team responsible for the basense app, website, and associated affiliate system, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Technical execution on our Tech-Stack: Develop and maintain core technologies across our mobile app, with currently React Native for app, JS-based frameworks for the website, Node.Js with Express, and Mongo DB for the backend, and Digital Ocean, Docker, and Firebase for DevOps. Our content moderation system is semi-automated and based on a large language model. For the affiliate system we use supplier software integrated into the application.
- Future Technologies: we’ll upgrade the search with performant technologies like Elastic Search, build or leverage neural networks for matching purposes, AI for several use cases in assisting data structure or knowledge generating. A passion for creating neural networks and in reading and presenting digital observational data would be desirable.
- Project Management: Plan, manage and execute software technology and service suppliers which are integral parts of our solutions. Plan, execute and support the basense product portfolio (user community, ambassador community, affiliate systems integration, white label offering) from tech delivery perspective.
- Scale into large volumes: Drive the implementation of scalable architecture to support potential high data volumes in decentralized environments.
- Neural Networks & Analytics: Guide the integration of neural networks and leverage data into data presentation strategies that work on mobile applications. Be part of the solution specification team.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Plan, execute, and manage software and service suppliers integral to the basense ecosystem.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years in full-stack software development with proven hands-on expertise in leading and building high-growth applications.
- Technical Specialization: Strong experience with React Native, Node.js, MongoDB, Firebase, and DevOps tools such as Docker and Digital Ocean.
- Specialization and passion: on fast scaling mobile applications with potentially very high data volume, particularly in decentralized environments
- Familiarity with Social Media Platforms: A background in social networks, knowledge-sharing platforms, affiliate networks, or similar environments.
- Leadership Skills: Strong project management and team leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Ability to navigate complex sytems: Be passionate about understanding, navigating, and operating multiple intersecting technology and business layers with multiple stakeholders involved.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A hands-on, outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to endure high-risk, high-reward startup environments that succeed for their unmatched team spirit and will to win.
- Driving Innovation: Ability to picture, sell, and drive innovative solutions.
- Global Experience: Experience working in remote, decentralized teams with a global focus, especially in high-growth, tech-driven environments.
- Educational Background: Degree in Informatics, Engineering, or related fields, with strong experience in technology development.
- Minimum Financial Independence: at least for the initial period of 3 to 6 months the candidate must have financial independence as a retainer can only be initiated after the seeding-round financing has successfully been completed.
