Our businessThe IT unit of the Swedish Medical Products Agency consists of around 100 dedicated employees with different backgrounds and skills, who together take a comprehensive approach to the agency's IT needs. We participate in the entire lifecycle from idea, architecture, design, development, testing, implementation to maintenance, incident management, and user support. We continuously develop work methods, technology, and tools as well as our collaboration within the teams and with the business to deliver available, stable, and secure IT support.

Your responsibilitiesAs a group leader, you will lead a group of about ten skilled IT architects in designing the agency's architecture. You report directly to the IT unit manager and have a key role in the IT management team. In the management team, together with the other group leaders, you shape and drive the long-term development of the entire IT operation. The management team consists of ten people, and we work both strategically and operationally on the business development of IT. You have your own areas of responsibility but also become part of a larger whole.
In this role, you will, for example:
- Ensure that our architecture is cohesive and supports our business in the long term.
- Take responsibility for the design of our architecture target picture.
- Drive sustainable development of our work methods and organization in architecture work.
- Work closely with the portfolio management function throughout the process from idea to realization and prioritization.
- Ensure that we have the right architecture resources for our development assignments. An important area of responsibility will be to allocate resources, develop skills as needed, and recruit or engage consultants.
- Have personnel responsibility for a group of about nine employees and seven consultants in various roles such as enterprise, business, and solution architects as well as IT specialists.
- Drive personnel and process development to improve our work methods and follow up on our results.
You have:
- A university education in computer science, systems science, or equivalent experience.
- Several years of experience as a manager in IT, and you are used to driving change and leading development that makes a difference.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.
Meritorious are:
- Experience working in a government agency and with procurements according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
- Experience working with architecture and architectural processes, preferably in a larger organization.
As a leader, you are confident, driven, and committed. You are good at motivating people and creating team spirit. You have the ability to communicate in a trustworthy way with others and easily build relationships and networks both within and outside the organization. For you, it is natural to develop work methods and processes, take your own initiatives, and independently drive the work to completion. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
